Who we are
We are a group of people from all different communities and cultures who believe that beauty behind a smile captures the essence of joy. We just so happen to be in the practice of orthodontics.

Meet Our Staff
Patients rave about our practice staff! Friendly, helpful, cheerful, and knowledgeable are just some of the descriptive words that we hear again and again. Over half of our staff members have been a part of our team for more than 10 years. Adding up the years of orthodontic experience for our entire team produces a number in excess of 75 years and growing!
Just ask any of our team members about our practice or where they send their own family for orthodontic treatment.

While undergoing orthodontic treatment in our practice, you will be the recipient of excellent care and personal service that provides our patients with an experience and smile to enjoy for many years. With over 75 years of combined experience, continual training, attention to detail, and listening to our patients are the vehicles we use to deliver the best results possible.
Placement of braces on a model of the teeth and subsequent transfer of the brackets using a custom made tray provide ultimate accuracy for the placement of braces. Modern braces require accuracy, and accuracy results in shorter treatment time-something appreciated by all!
Herbst Appliance for Overbite (Class II) Correction
Dr. Bailey and his staff believe in a win-win treatment approach. The Herbst appliance is worn by many of our patients whose orthodontic issues involve overbite. Due to the fixed nature of the Herbst appliance, patient compliance is assured, leading to excellent, predictable results in a very reasonable period of time. Removable appliances such as headgear can be a disastrous prescription, leading to poor patient compliance, battles at home and unsatisfactory results. Excellent results and elimination of parent-child battles provide the win-win treatment we seek. Click here to learn more about the Herbst Appliance.
High Tech Arch Wires
Even orthodontics has benefited from the NASA program. Our use of nickel titanium advanced arch wires has led to less discomfort, shorter treatment time and less time away from school/work for orthodontic appointments.
Self Litigating Brackets
Self ligating brackets enable Dr. Bailey and staff to treat cases easily and effectively while offering patients a faster, more comfortable and attractive treatment option. Free-sliding technology means you have less discomfort and a faster treatment than with traditional style braces.Traditional braces use elastics and ties. This puts pressure and friction on your teeth which slows down your treatment and causes discomfort in many patients. In-Ovation system braces are different! With a special free-sliding technology, little to no pressure is placed on teeth as they are gently guided into place.
Emphasis on Oral Home Care
Patients, parents, Dr. Bailey and staff all want to see a beautiful smile of healthy teeth when braces are removed. Our emphasis on dental home care is designed to eliminate the potential for permanent decalcification marks on the teeth following braces. Thorough initial instructions and constant, positive reinforcement during treatment provide our patients with the tools and knowledge to produce a beautiful smile.
Retention! Retention! Retention!
You may have heard something similar in another context, however, RETENTION receives great attention in Dr. Bailey's practice. Our permanent lower retainer and simple upper removable retainer ensure an attractive and healthy smile for many years to come. Click here to learn more about retainers.
Our Commitment to Busy Families
Until the day arrives when teeth can be straightened with a few clicks of your computer mouse, we will continue to refine our "treatment delivery" systems to keep busy children and parents doing what they like the most. Here is just a glimpse into our attempts to make orthodontic treatment "hassle free".
One-Step Examination & Diagnostic Records
When treatment is recommended for new patients, we have allowed time in our schedule to proceed that same day with the diagnostic records and impressions for appliances that are often necessary to begin treatment. This minimizes time out of school and work for patients and parents.
Our Pledge to Run on Time
We pledge to have patients seated and treatment started within 10 minutes or less of their appointment time. We recognize the importance of your time and the many activities that families schedule in one day.
Patients & Parents Need to be Informed
Our staff will discuss with the patient and parent the treatment progress, procedures performed that appointment, and any aspects that may need improvement such as rubber band wear or tooth brushing. Parents are an important part of the treatment team necessary to provide that winning smile.
Treatment is a Team Effort
Successful orthodontic treatment can only be accomplished through team effort. Dr. Bailey and staff will coach, parents will cheer, and the most important part of the team, the PATIENT, will play. Commitment, effort and practice will lead to fantastic results. The player's (patient's) responsibility is usually threefold: Excellent Oral Hygiene - thorough brushing twice or more daily; Maintenance of Appliances - broken appliances delay treatment; and Compliance with Accessory Appliances - wearing rubber bands ensures progress.
What is Board Certified?
A board certified orthodontist is an orthodontist who has voluntarily gone through hundreds of additional hours of preparation to demonstrate their judgment, skills and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care. They have achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists.
An orthodontist is a dentist who has not only completed a graduate program in dentistry to receive their DDS or DMD (Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine), but has also gone through a competitive residency at a CODA-accredited orthodontic program for an additional 2-3 years to be trained specifically in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Achieving board certification is the last step in a long and intensive educational experience to ultimately provide excellent patient care.
